About the Item
Impressive brushed steel and patinated bronze clad writing table, desk, or console made in the manner and style of John Vesey (American 1924-1992). The desk is fronted by two storage drawers with bronze pulls. The desk is constructed by hand in the grand French neoclassical Louis XVI style. The top of the case features a glass top with a faux-malachite background. The case is supported by elegant bronze mounted legs that taper and end with bronze sabots. The narrow size allows it to be used as a console. The piece is sturdy with solid joinery. The steel and bronze have a desirable aged patina on the finish.
