This is a large vintage kneehole desk. An English, oak panelled writing table, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1970. Crafted to a high standard, this bespoke drawing room desk offers excellent proportion, refined detail and the warmth of golden oak — ideal for the traditional study or home office. Superior craftsmanship in quality golden oak stocks, showing fine grain interest Generous proportion with a wide kneehole opening for comfortable seating Arranged as a pair of drawer banks, each with four drawers for ample storage Inset leather skiver with lightly timeworn charm, tooled and embossed for distinction Drawer fronts dressed with circular brass pulls and inset locks — keys absent Fully panelled rear fascia allows for central room placement with privacy and style Adorned throughout with a bold, field panel motif and traditional forms Standing upon continuous plinth feet for stability and visual grounding A substantial and elegant example of superior 20th century office furniture, this vintage kneehole desk presents wonderfully for daily use or as a statement feature.
