This small scale late eighteenth century French Louis XVI period walnut lady's writing desk features a gold tooled black leather top. A single drawer pulls out from the side using a bronze knob pull. The table rests on classic tapered square legs finished with bronze sabots. with a 32 inch width and 19 inch depth, this piece would be ideal beside a chair or could serve as a nightstand. c. 1780. From floor to apron measures 24.5 inches in height.
