We offer for sale an exceptional and fine period piece of furniture, a consular desk dating from the first half of the 19th century.
A true masterpiece of cabinet making, combining functionality and historical prestige.
The cabinet is distinguished by its severe and elegant lines, typical of the style, and by the magnificent wood grain, walnut burl, which creates a visually striking "flamed" effect.

Width: 241 cm
Height: 132 cm (at the center panel)
Depth:68 cm
Features and Historical Details:
Epoch: 1800s (19th century), with Empire/Carlo X stylistic references.
Material: Valuable Walnut wood, with beautiful Briar slabings on drawers and uprights, which catch the light.
Structure: Consisting of a central tabletop and two separate side bodies (pedestals), with a central gable elevation, typical of the neoclassical taste.
Functionality: The side bodies conceal opening doors and interior and hidden drawers, perfect for organizing documents or items (visible in photo).
Craft Details: Features elegant scroll carvings at the base of the pedestals and along the apron, which soften its appearance and certify its ancient workmanship.
Condition of Preservation: Very good for its age. The cabinet has its charming original patina, which enhances its historical value.
