About the Item

This late nineteenth century French Henri II style writing table is constructed of solid walnut and features paneled sides. Two drawers of dovetail construction are appointed with bronze drop handles detailed with acanthus leaves. The table rests on tapered fluted legs joined by a lower H stretcher that provides stability to the piece. The stretcher is detailed with three finials. From floor to apron measures 24 inches in height. c. 1860.
