About the Item
This iconic writing desk was designed by Nanna Ditzel and produced by master cabinetmaker Søren Willadsen in Vejen, Denmark in 1955. It remains one of Ditzel's most sought after and important works. This early edition has solid drawer fronts with the sculptural drawer-pulls carved out of the front. The inside of the drawers are made from rich Danish oak. The desk has a veneered rosewood top with solid rosewood legs drawer fronts and edging.
This version has 3 spacious drawers built into the desk apron. It has been restored and refinished at our workshops in London by our team of experts. A truly magnificent piece of Danish Modern history.
Dimensions are 145 cm in width, 75 cm in depth, and 73 cm in height, approximately 57.1 inches wide, 29.5 inches deep, and 28.7 inches high.
