Parigi and Prina for Molteni, ‘Orix’ Desk, Red, c.1970s
A sculptural and innovative ‘Orix’ desk designed by Italian architects Paolo Parigi and Renato Prina for Molteni, circa 1970s. This striking design combines a molded ABS plastic frame in high-gloss red with a smoked glass work surface and integrated steel detailing. The desk also features a built-in overhead lamp and concealed cable management system, reflecting the period’s fascination with futuristic, high-tech office furniture. Compact yet visually impactful, the Orix desk was part of Molteni's progressive design direction during the late 20th century, aimed at merging function and form in the workplace. Rare in this original red colourway, with all components intact.
