About the Item
This exquisite Mid-Century teak desk, designed by Peter Løvig Nielsen for Løvig Dansk, showcases the refined craftsmanship of 1960s Danish design. Crafted from warm teak with a smooth, natural finish, the desk features a clever hidden storage compartment revealed when sliding the piece forward, offering discreet space at the back. A single drawer provides additional functionality, blending seamlessly with the desk’s minimalist lines and organic aesthetic. Its sturdy construction and timeless style make it an ideal workspace or accent piece for a study, office, or collector’s curated interior, embodying the elegance of Scandinavian modernism.

Height: 28 in / 71.12 cm
This extraordinary writer's desk has recently undergone a partial restoration. The desk top has been completely hand-sanded and refinished though some signs of wear remain as the veneer was too thin to sand-out some gouges and burns entirely (all remaining wear can be seen in the detail photos and natural light video provided). The legs and frame are in stunning original condition and show only minor wear such as a localized area of minor gouges and surface scratches (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos and natural light video provided). With that said this desk is a marvelous time piece with variegated woodgrains that are truly mesmerizing in natural light.
The single drawer opens and closes with ease and the desk top easily slides open and close exposing more storage space underneath with a fully extended depth of 37".
This artfully designed and crafted writer's desk is incredibly functional, structurally sound and ready for a lifetime more of use thanks to it's recent restoration process. Please view all photos and video for details on this desk's current condition. We're limited on the amount of media we can post so additional photos and videos are available upon request.
