About the Item

A unique piece, this large reception desk comes from the Kyoto International Conference Center, designed by Sachio Otani and inaugurated in 1966. Isamu Kenmochi and his studio, the Isamu Kenmochi Design Laboratory, were responsible for the overall furnishings and interior decoration of the center. The furniture created by Kenmochi for this project was produced in collaboration with renowned Japanese manufacturers such as Tendo Mokko and Yamakawa Rattan. This desk consists of a wooden base covered in grey leather, accented with a stainless steel plinth, and a thick profiled rosewood top. Manufacturer: Tendo Mokko, 1966
