We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely lovely light satinwood writing console table with twin drawers and solid marble top
A good looking and well made piece, the timber frame is late Victorian and has a glorious grain to it, the wood really glows in the right light. The table top is nice and solid, tapered around the front and sides.
We have lightly cleaned waxed and polished it, there is nothing negative to note other than the marble top is slightly grey in the back right corner, I’m not sure from what

This table is stunning, I would say early to mid 19th Century, the timber patina is exquisite as is the carving on the leg arches, it is a very fine piece of English furniture. The marble top is twice the thickness of a normal piece, it is a monster of a piece and has a wonderful tapered edge
The table has been restored to include having the base lightly washed back and French polished, it retains all its original patina as does the marble top which one chip I think at the front left
