A charming tiger bamboo and lacquered writing table, a rare example of 19th-century Anglo-Japanese style capturing the Victorian fascination with East Asian aesthetics. Crafted from tiger bamboo, known for its distinctive dark markings, the desk features a single drawer flanked by decorative lacquered panels. The lacquered surfaces are adorned with hand-painted Oriental motifs, such as birds, foliage, and floral elements. The desk rests on elegantly curved bamboo supports and a shaped stretcher base. Compact in size, it is ideal as a writing table, or decorative accent in eclectic bohemian, or colonial-inspired interiors.
