About the Item
Stunning Mid Century Modern Italian set of 4 chairs and round dining table in chromed tube steel. Model name "Margot" by Gastone Rinaldi for RIMA, 1968. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Space age vibes of the Eero Saarinen and Florence Knoll era. Indeed, the Verner Panton Pantonova for Fritz Hansen as well.
Both the chairs and the table base consist of chromed tube metal bent into tulip form. Seat cushions are optional. Those supplied (the originals) are in a waterproof orange fabric and require reupholstery. Ask about our service.
Price includes new glass top as the current one is heavily scratched. The current top has a smoked tint, which we think looks great. However, clear can also be supplied, at your preference. The current diameter of the table is 47.25 in (120 cm). Though, welcome to specify a different diameter for the replacement top.
The condition of the metalwork is overall very good for the age with no structural issues. Very close inspection will reveal minor superficial tarnish in the metal. The invisible area under the seat cushions has by far the most surface tarnish - it appears as though it may not have been chrome plated there. Perhaps polishable, but in our opinion, unnecessary.
