This is fabulous dining set comprising an antique George III style triple pedestal dining table Circa 1920 in date, and a superb Vintage set of eighteen bar back dining chairs, mid 20th Century in date The rounded cornered table top is made from stunning flame mahogany and is raised on three "canon barrel" turned columns. The centre one on a quadruple swept reeded sabre leg base and the other two on triple swept reeded sabre leg bases, all terminating in brass caps and castors. The table has two leaves which can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion which makes it a versatile and it can comfortably seat eighteen people. The superb Vintage set of eighteen Regency Revival Bar Back dining chairs date from the second half of the 20th century. Masterfully hand crafted in beautiful solid flame mahogany,the finish and attention to detail on display are truly breathtaking. The set comprises sixteen side chairs and two armchairs, all feature attractive hand carved bar back design with 'drop in' seats that have been reupholstered in the finest azure and cream damask. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome dining set which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with guests at meal times. THE BOTANICAL NAME FOR THE MAHOGANY THAT THIS ITEM IS MADE OF IS SWIETENIA MACROPHYLLA AND THIS TYPE OF MAHOGANY IS NOT SUBJECT TO CITES REGULATION AND DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY RESTRICTED MATERIALS. Matching his words to his work, Sheraton designed much mahogany furniture. The qualities that impressed Sheraton are particularly evident in a distinctive pattern of wood called "flame mahogany."
