About the Item

This beautiful carved dining set was manufactured by Rockford Chair Furniture Company in the early-20th century. Made of oak and finished with a dark stain, it is comprised of a table and six chairs. The table has hidden 16 inch leaves at the end of each side, which extend the length of the table to 96 inches (8 feet). A crank below the table lifts the table top, making the leaves easy to slide in place. The table is raised on elegant legs that are united by stretchers. Carved arched back rails and leather seats are featured on the dining chairs. Their turned front legs and block back legs are united by stretchers. The chairs include one armchair and five side chairs. Seat height is 19 inches. We currently have a sideboard and cabinet from Rockford that match this set and can be purchased separately.
