About the Item

Very comfortable dining room table including six stools. The stools and table follow the same shapes creating a consistent and robust set. The table is made of solid elm and the top is quite thick and so are the squared legs, that are slightly out, just as the stools. The table is not very wide but quite long to make sure that there is enough space to eat or drink but still maintain an intimate setting. If you look carefully at the top, you can see rounded traces of use where people's arms have rested on the table. This table must have had lots of visitors over the decades and because the wood is quite soft you it got this amazing wear. It also provides great comfort for you under arms to rest on the table. This set is perfect for anyone who is looking for an easy access place to drink coffee or have a quick breakfast because the stools do not have any back- or armrests so it's easy to get in and out. You can also put the stools underneath the table to create space if not in use. As you might expect of this minimal brutalist set: it's very heavy but two strong people can do the job if you want to move this item. We added this piece to our collection because we thought it very much resembles the style of Pierre Chapo but then without the crazy pricing. Minimal, robust and strong but on the other hand very inviting and gentle as if you were in the Swiss Alps.
