Introducing a rare matching dining set (one extension dining table and six matching Model 58 dining chairs) designed by the influential Harry Østergaard for Randers Møbelfabrik. Crafted from a mix of solid and veneered Burmese teak with exquisite woodgrains and intricate woodworking this gorgeous table can easily expand up to 102.5" (via three extension leaves and a drop-down fifth leg that adds support when fully extended) accommodating up to ten guests comfortably making it perfect for both office and home settings.
The matching, expansive set of six Model 58 dining chairs is constructed from a mix of solid and veneered Burmese teak, showcasing the natural beauty of the wood grain and unique coloration. The curved backs and the characteristically sleek, minimalist lines add a touch of elegance to the design while the tapered legs add a sense of lightness and airiness.
Recently and painstakingly restored this aesthetically stunning set has been hand-sanded and refinished bringing the solid teak back from the dead. Though some minor repairs remain subtly visible, this set is now in overall excellent condition. The rich dark mocha leather, cut from genuine Italian leather hides, adds warmth, comfort and style. This rare dining table has recently undergone an extensive restoration process The mix of solid and veneered teak is in over all very good shape with scratches and other minor chips/gouges present (which can be seen in the detail photos and video provided). With that said the table is in overall very good shape and the entire surface of the table has been professionally sanded and refinished ensuring this table will last a lifetime.
The three extension leaves are easily installed or removed in mere seconds and the table expands and contracts with ease. *Note - Leaf stores separately.
This expansive dining table is highly functional, structurally sound and ready for a lifetime more of use. -CHAIRS-
This extraordinary set of Model 58 dining chairs by Harry Østergaard has recently undergone a comprehensive and transformative restoration and we love the results. Featuring new genuine Italian leather the upholstery is in showroom condition showing only the wear of a once-living animal (ranch brands, scars, etc.). The seat cushions have been replaced with new medium density foam for maximum comfort and longevity.
The solid Burmese teak frames and legs have been hand-sanded and refinished with only minor nicks and light scratches remaining (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos and natural light video provided). The molded backrests, made from a mix of solid and veneered teak, show various small repairs that are present throughout the set.
