Magnificent Antique Italian Renaissance Revival Dining Room Table with 15 Chairs

With the holidays soon approaching this dining room set will entertain your large parties in grand style! Magnificent and very stately, 19th century Italian Renaissance Revival, large extension dining room table transforms from a 68 1/2” square shape to a very large maximum size of 151” long by inserting the extension leaves included. Each extension leaf measures approximately 16.5” wide. Therefore table can be made smaller from the maximum size by removing up to 5 leaves. Skilfully handmade and hand carved by the most talented Italian artisans, this set is a true work of art! Table has a substantial ornately carved bulbous shaped center support as well as four legs featuring fantastical half human and half animal sculpted male and female figural carvings with paw feet. Elaborate foliate, scrolls and acanthus leaf motifs adorn the table throughout. Handcrafted from solid walnut. Beautiful wood grain throughout. Set includes fifteen handmade and hand carved dining chairs featuring Italian Renaissance architectural elements. An intricately carved mascaron, originally known to frighten off evil spirits, crowns the center arched top of each chair surrounded by sloping acanthus leaves and amazing fantastical figural carvings on each side. The turned trumpet legs have fluted detail as well as a foliated cartouche on the center apron and are nicely reinforced on the bottom by an H stretcher. Upholstered in an elegant floral upholstery with decorative accent trim. Measurements: Table square shaped (No leaves installed): Approximately 68 1/2" x 68 1/2". Table fully extended approximately 151" long x 68 1/2" wide x 30" high. Each leaf measures approximately 68 1/2" wide x 16 1/2" long and five leaves are included. Chair width is approximately 20" wide x 49" high. The seat height is 20". Fifteen matching chairs are included.
