Designed by Pierre Debs for Stanley Furniture in the 1960s. This listing is for 2 captain / arm chairs, 4 regular chairs, dining table with extension leaf and the china cabinet / hutch buffet, a complete set. This design is exceptionally well engineered and strong without compromise - the Finnline series. Completely restored and refinished, this vintage suite comprises of walnut and rosewood accents that are strong coupled with exquisite design. Quatersawn walnut was the choice of the manufacturer which provides a unique grain pattern to the table top and drawers. All 6 dining chairs have been reupholstered in Knoll Fabric and the cushioning comprises of three elements, latex foam, cotton wool and urethane foam. The wood plugs over screws are rosewood and accent the chairs. The dining table is a drop leaf and can be reduced in size (see photos) and with the drops snapped into position provides more than enough space for luxurious seating for 4, and with the 12" extension seats 6. This dining table tapers off at the ends rather than being a regular rectangle. The edges are finished in rosewood. The buffet features custom knobs and plates produced only for this line. The three side drawers are lined with thick paper, the cutlery draw and cabinet door which has two levels are lined with green felt. The hutch portion (the entire unit is one assembly) features three levels. The back of the display area behind the glass has been finished in the same fabric as the chairs for a uniform look. Metal caps are present on the piece that match the plates behind the knobs. The edges of the top of the cabinet and the inserts in the cabinet door are rosewood over walnut. This entire suite has been professionally restored and finished in ample lacquers in satin to provide a lustrous finish. The walnut and rosewood is vivid with highly figured grains and woods with character. Measurements: Dining table: 30.25" tall. 40" wide on center, tapering to 36" on the short side. The extension leaf is 12" wide, the table is either 72.25" long or 60.25" depending on the leaf being used. Chairs: Seat height 18" (actual height is about 19" but compresses to 18"). The 4 side chairs are 19" wide, the two armchairs are 24" wide. All chairs 32" tall and 19" deep. Arm height is 25" Buffet / Hutch. 66.5" tall, 36" wide, 18" deep.

Multipurpose Furniture. We do not know exactly what this is. It could be a display table being 17.5" tall or it could be a seating arrangement with tables. Or it could be a cocktail table or merchandise display table. The smaller black laminate tops are 12" and the larger rosewood laminate tops are 17.75". It is overall 29" deep and 59.25" wide. It was purchased years ago from a family who owned a Lightolier store and had all the built-ins and seating done by Harvey Probber, and given the construction, it would be consistent.
