About the Item
Incredibly rare dining or patio set designed by Henry P. Glass for Stux. The set is from the “ Stux Beau Fer” collection. Designed in 1953
This set features four iron chairs and a black glass/vitrolite topped iron table. The chairs give an organic aesthetic with wonderful movement and playfulness. Each leg has a solid brass sock or cap as a wonderful detail. We have decided to keep the aged brass ‘as is’ showing off it’s patina.
The accompanying table gives off an European vibe with attractive and well thought out movement details. The top is black vitrolite glass and is free from any chips or cracks.
This set would be a wonderful addition to any mid-century or contemporary interior. Although being designed and manufactured in the United States post war, it appears Henry P. Glass was heavily influenced by French styling when putting pen to paper creating this group. We were unable to find any other examples that have been available to market current or past. This set really speaks for itself.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Set is being offered as is. Patina to the iron. Glass is free from chips or cracks. Some minor scratches to glass. We have elected to keep the vinyl as found and leave it up to buyer to change or use ‘as is’ since set can be indoor/outdoor.
