About the Item

Rarely seen Model 3601 folding table finished in exquisite rosewood for Fritz Hansen. This is a very versatile piece of furniture which can be used for a a variety of functions. As a compact dining table it is very hard to beat. Perfect as a breakfast table it can be folded out to create a lovely surface to seat four. We also think it would make an excellent writing desk, the proportions would be perfect for this role and the design lends itself to a stand alone desk with a sleek profile. Originally designed by Jacobsen at the height of his career in the early 50’s. Like much of his canon of work it is effortlessly timeless and rightly considered a modern design classic. This is an outstanding example. The surface is in excellent condition with particularly attractive rosewood veneers. Entirely original, no replacement parts or problems.
