About the Item

19th Century French Oak Dining Table 19th-century French oak dining table with a top over 2 inches thick and dramatically carved harp-shaped legs joined by a stretcher base. The 7.5' long rectangular form accommodates seating at both ends; floor-to-skirt height is 26.5 inches with a 10-inch overhang on short ends to allow chair placement. Carved legs and feet show age-consistent nicks and minor losses typical of a well-used antique. Rich patina and handcrafted detailing give the table strong presence. Restored, strong, stable, and ready for use as a dining table or striking writing desk. Note close up photos of top and feet revealing old cracks(some filled in), nicks, stains, etc., none of which impact the function of this handsome French dining table. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed. With over 37 years of experience importing and selling European antiques, our brick-and-mortar storefront, Round Top Ranch Antiques (located in Texas), offers one of the largest curated selections in the nation, with more than thirty-five thousand square feet of inventory to explore.
