About the Item

Found in the city of Perpignan in southern France not far from the Spanish border, this large late nineteenth century Spanish Renaissance style walnut dining table features a hand forged iron trestle and a hand-hewn and hand pegged two inch thick top. Its thick solid walnut construction and warm patina give it a handsome old world feel, while its scrolling legs and slender trestle allow it to remain airy. With a sculptural appeal which is sure to draw attention, this table seats eight, circa 1880.
