Rare Viennese Art Nouveau Extendable Dining Table, Vienna c. 1900–1910
We are pleased to present an exceptional and very rare large-scale Viennese Art Nouveau extendable dining table, crafted in Vienna circa 1900–1910.
Viennese Art Nouveau is renowned for its refined proportions, sophisticated design, and outstanding craftsmanship. Pieces of this caliber are highly sought after and continue to strongly influence modern interior design. This table is a timeless statement piece that complements both classic and contemporary interiors with equal elegance.
The table extends smoothly to an impressive maximum length of 140 inches, making it ideal for grand dining rooms and formal entertaining. The expansion mechanism functions flawlessly.
The design features a rectangular base with a brass-mounted plinth, supporting an oval top carried by four groups of triple columns with original fittings. The edges are finely sculpted and finished with an elegant ebonized varnish, highlighting the refined detailing typical of high-quality Viennese Art Nouveau furniture.
This is an exceptional museum-quality piece—tables of this size, design, and condition are extremely rare on today’s market.
The table is in very good original condition and retains its traditional French polish finish.
