About the Item
Antique Rustic Italian Style Trestle Farm Table was hand-crafted using traditional methods handed down from generation to generation. Utilizing thick planks and timbers of old growth solid oak, the artisans formed the sturdy top from four planks, so thick a reinforcing apron is not necessary which allows for maximum knee clearance. The top is held aloft by two artfully contoured side supports shaped in an urn form with a diamond shaped opening which appears above the shims that hold the massive stretcher in place to create a very sturdy platform, especially when combined with the finely contoured cross pieces above and below. Literally designed to last for centuries, your family will surely enjoy this wonderful table for generations to come.
