About the Item
One of a kind table by History Never Repeats, designed and custom built in USA by Aaron Saxton. 76.75" x 41.75" x 28.25" tall. 235 pounds. Ideal for dining, conference, hotel foyer of business meeting table. This model photographed is the only model built thus far and is available now. Custom built in our work shop using specially sourced and selected flawless Appalachian Red Oak
Birch. Undulating symmetrical forms comprise the top with geometry and prominent grain. Contrasting grain direction of the oak provides kinetic movement as one passes the table. Some elements will appear darker, then turn lighter, in contrast to other elements depending upon perspective and light reflection. Subtle reflection of light upon the brass plate of the base provides illumination to the pedestal - you can see this detail in the video. The brass has been purposefully mottled on the base so that nay marks made during its lifetime will be subdued - it is coated. Brass elements are all authentic brass. Coated in a premium finish to ensure longevity of the wood and brass. No shortcuts have been taken with this table and we expect it to last for generations. The top has an edge (lip) to it and it is recommended a glass sheet be inserted in order to protect the brass and red oak elements details. The base alone weighs 135 pounds and the table is completely sturdy. Bold, commanding and dynamic. The 1/4" lip not he top is intentional to allow a 1/4" thick pencil edged glass top to be installed by the customer upon installation, we can advise of the proper size in advance; and it can be produced from either plate or tempered glass as it is well supported.
