Biographical details
Nephew and collaborator of Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann, Alfred Porteneuve continued the family workshop after 1927, developing furniture faithful to the Art Deco style while steering it towards a more refined modernity. His work is characterized by a mastery of proportions, the quality of materials, and a restrained elegance, inherited from the tradition of the great French decorators of the interwar period.
Luxurious table for 12 seated guests. This table is typical of the Art Deco period of the 1940s with a scrolled design.
