About the Item
A rare and extremely well made extension dining table dating to the time of the British King William IV (1830-1837). Constructed of chosen Mahogany, the table features magnificently graining on the top with shaped edge, five massive turned and carved legs with gadrooning and bottom bun surmounting large brass castors.
Dimensions: Closed 54” deep by 59” wide by 29.5” high.
There are four leaves: Two leaves 29.5” wide and Two leaves 28” wide.
The Table with all four leaves is 174” long.
Condition: Please see detail photos. Various signs of age include sunning resulting in color difference as shown in the photos. There are a few ring marks, spotting and some scratches as well as an old touched up deep scratch at one end and while some level of restoration may be desired, the Table retains a stately and exceptional presentation. ,
