About the Item
A handsome French 19th century Louis XVI st. solid mahogany dining table with the original four extensions. The table has a richly carved central pedestal with four fluted tapered columns raised by topie shaped supports. The columns are decorated by a scrolled capital and foliage. The legs are joined by an 'H' stretcher with a mottled border and four elongated ovals with circular columns at each end. The table extends with double turned fold down legs with original casters. The top has a mottled border and a rich all original patina throughout.
