About the Item

A handsome and richly carved Italian 19th century Louis XV st. Burl Walnut dining/center table. This wonderful rectangular table is raised by four tapering cabriole legs with bottom carved acanthus leaves and top carved reserves. The top reserves display richly carved scrolled movements and acanthus leaves throughout and leading to the apron. The apron showcases an elegant scalloped shape while centered by a foliate reserve which is flanked by various scrolled carved leaves amidst a bottom mottled trim. At both ends of the table are wide hidden pull out drawers. The top has a sensational Burl Walnut butterfly veneered design bordered by an elegant mottled edge. Height to Apron: 23.5"
