About the Item

Elegant oval extending mahogany wood table, datable to the early 20th century. The top, veneered in mahogany, measures 110 x 139 cm when closed and can reach a maximum length of 270 cm in the extended position. The original extension cords are no longer present, but custom-made ones can be made. The table rests on four Louis XVI-style turned and fluted legs, embellished with ornamental metal plates placed at the leg attachments. Originally probably gilded, these plates have lost their gilding, but can be restored upon request. When opened, two central support legs (currently without casters, but reintegrable) are activated. Structurally in good condition, with solid shaft and stable joints. The top shows signs of wear and surface scratches consistent with the age and use of the item. It can be used as is or, upon request, undergo partial or complete conservation restoration. Worldwide shipping. For more information or a restoration estimate, please feel free to contact us.
