About the Item

Schreiber Furniture, founded in 1957, was one of the biggest names in furniture in the 1970s rivalling G Plan and other respected British manufacturers. At one point they had 280 Schreiber stores throughout the UK. This is a large Schreiber extendable dining table featuring a rectangular top with curved corners. The table is finished with Schreiber’s trade mark wood-effect Formica. The extending mechanism is straightforward: the two halves of the top pull apart to reveal the concealed central leaf, which folds out and slots neatly into place.
