About the Item
One of a kind production dining table (2025) by Cabinetmaker Aaron Saxton. Sits 6 banquet style with extra room, and 8 easily. 96.5 x 46.5 x 29.5". Boat shaped with the short ends gently tapered down to 35" from the center of 46.5". Produced from wood with a 1.25" solid top with thick walnut bullnose the full thickness, coupled with book-matched Appalachian black walnut on the top. Extremely heavy and built to take heavy abuse. Produced with a satin black base of red oak coated in black varnish, this table purposefully designed to provide a contrast to the intended use of wood chairs and an example is shown (danish rosewood chair featured). This table comes with a plinth base 49" wide that is bold and intended to plant the table firmly down and anchor a room. There is no instability in this table, it is rock solid and will never sag. Adjustable feet to the underside allowing elevation of an additional 1" if desired. Weight is approximately 275 pounds. Top is finished in satin varnish and almost entirely impervious to cold or hot beverages.

Multipurpose Furniture. We do not know exactly what this is. It could be a display table being 17.5" tall or it could be a seating arrangement with tables. Or it could be a cocktail table or merchandise display table. The smaller black laminate tops are 12" and the larger rosewood laminate tops are 17.75". It is overall 29" deep and 59.25" wide. It was purchased years ago from a family who owned a Lightolier store and had all the built-ins and seating done by Harvey Probber, and given the construction, it would be consistent. Especially the rubber feet at each stem is very much seen on Harvey Probber pieces.
