About the Item

This simple and elegantly angular dining table is made from reclaimed teakwood in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The design is based on 1950's modern designs found in Burma and Thailand in Southeast Asia after WWII. The wood is extraordinarily thick- 4.5". It has been finished with a special grey-black stain and wash, and sealed in clear dull lacquer. The top is a single slab of teak wood. It can be used as a dining table with plenty of leg room at both ends of the table. It can also served as a great desk/ working area in an office. The thickness of the wood gives the table heft and importance despite been narrower than standard dining tables. The finish is durable and functional for everyday use.
