About the Item

Rectangular table of Piedmontese manufacture, made of solid walnut and datable to the first half of the 19th century. The top has an elegant sloping wire frame with well-connected side bands, framing central boards with a beautiful natural grain pattern. A particular highlight are the turned legs with strong plastic development, richly molded, which give the furniture a solid yet decorative architectural presence. The structure is restrained but proportionate, designed for functional, everyday use, typical of the furniture of the period made for country residences and middle-class homes. Authentic, unrestored object with beautiful patina of time. Ideal as a dining or work table in classic or eclectic style settings.
