About the Item
This exceptional dining game table is a striking example of Italian modern design from the 1970s, created by renowned designer Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli. The molded black plastic tabletop is ingeniously divided into four sections that fold and swivel, allowing the table to transform effortlessly from a generous playing or dining surface into a compact sculptural form for storage. Resting on a sleek aluminum pedestal base, the table combines visual lightness with structural stability. The original Castelli label confirms its authenticity and highlights its importance as a collectible design object. Both playful and architectural, this piece perfectly reflects the experimental spirit of Italian design in the late 20th century and stands as a functional work of art suitable for contemporary interiors.
