Rare Edward Pashayan Walnut

About the Item
The pedestal columns are six-sided, with every other smaller and unadorned side meeting a leg. The three larger intervening sides form fluted parabolas, each with a central gilt bronze rosette, silver leafed along with the fluting.
The top is highly figured book matched walnut veneer, banded in ebony. Two leaves extend the table to 116", supported at each end by legs unfolded from under the table.
Pashayan's style and quality were on par with that of Maison Jansen. A similar single pedestal table is illustrated on page 215 of James Archer Abbott's book "Jansen Furniture."
