About the Item
A "live-edge" slab of Walnut wood top rests atop a base composed of patinated steel joined with cast-concrete. Blackened steel butterfly key inlays stabilize the top. The monolithic leg is assembled from a welded steel box that joins two plates of steel which capture the cast element. The piece's restrained simplicity references both architecture and sculpture simultaneously
