About the Item

Dining table by Georges Frydman for EFA. Rectangular walnut dining table from the 1960s by Georges Frydman for the manufacturer EFA. It perfectly represents French modernism of the 1950s with its use of wood and steel. Can be used as a desk. The table has two extensions that slide into the steel sliding sections at the ends. The base is made of original gray lacquered steel. This table is in very good vintage condition. The tabletop and extensions have been restored (original color preserved and 3 coats of eco-label varnish for better protection and durability). The steel structure has been kept in its original condition. Traces of the past are therefore visible, but this gives it its beautiful, inimitable patina. A new coat of paint is available on request. The table does not have a stamp, but it is well referenced in period catalogs and interior design magazines from the 1950s and 1960s. You can see the last photo where the table is placed in a setting with Knoll curtains and barrel chairs by Pierre Guariche for Steiner. The description is provided below the photo, and a copy will be provided with purchase.
