About the Item

This gorgeous rectangular 1950s dining table is highly decorative and unusual. The table top has a chinoiserie design of figures in a garden setting, painted on a black cloth background in shades of greens, soft pink, red, blue, cream and white. The matching six chairs are covered in a cream textured vinyl. The design of the set includes banded, mounted and moulded anodised aluminium piping detail and black embossed faux leather . Originally sold in the late 50’s/early 60’s in the UK by Harrods, London. The table has the original glass top that is not fixed and the chair and table legs twist off for transport but are all sturdy. The chairs are extremely comfortable having a cantilever back which gives flexibility and comfort. The table and chairs are all in excellent vintage condition, no tears or stains. Being of faux leather, the suite is also vegan friendly. These elegant chairs can also be used as occasional chairs and the table could also be used as a console table. There is 67cm’s of leg room under the frieze of the table. and the chairs have a back seat height of 98cm a width of 46cm and a depth of 52cm
