About the Item

A very rare 19th Century well figured mahogany extending Country House dining table of grand proportions, finely hand carved with stunningly rich patination and grain. This fantastic piece is of exceptional quality and features six pods, four extra interchangeable extension leaves and can seat up to twenty two people comfortably. The moulded top of D-end form with fluted and reeded edge is raised over six ring turned baluster pods supported on elegantly tapering outswept sabre legs with reeded detail, terminating on finely cast lion paw brass toe caps and casters.
