About the Item

Italian Modernist rosewood extension dining table raised on six rectangular straight legs with aluminum caps designed by Ico and Luisa Parisi for MIM, Roma (ca. 1950s). Spectacular wood grain forming an attractive chevron pattern. Ingenious, practical design with a butterfly leaf extension allowing for a simple seamless expansion of the table from round to oval. The bifold leaf is folded, stacked, and concealed under the surface then easily unfolded when extra space is required. Newly refinished condition, but light surface wear remains ( scuffs and dings, as shown). Round: H: 29" x Diameter: 55" Oval with extension: H: 29" x L: 82.63" x D: 55" Height (ground to apron): 27.25"
