About the Item

This Antique Hepplewhite Inlaid Maple Drop Leaf Table, dating to the early 19th century, is a refined example of Neoclassical design. Crafted from maple, the table features inlaid details in satinwood and ebony, creating a striking contrast against the light wood. The drop-leaf design offers versatility, expanding or contracting as needed while maintaining a graceful, clean silhouette when not in use. Additionally, the table features a convenient drawer on the side, enhancing its functionality for everyday use. The legs are adorned with a delicate inlaid band near the foot, further adding to the table’s elegance. While the inlay work remains beautiful, there has been some loss to the inlay, as shown in the pictures, which only adds to the table’s charm and authenticity. Despite this, the table remains in excellent condition overall, with minimal signs of age-related wear. The combination of maple, satinwood, and ebony inlays, along with the added drawer, ensures that this drop-leaf table is both a practical and timeless addition to any room. 29h x 36w x 18d closed 35d open
