About the Item

A round walnut drop leaf dining table, made in France circa 1850. The table is made of solid walnut with wonderfully expressed graining and boards which were book matched for continuity. With the leaves down, the table makes a wonderful console. There is a single drawer housed within the apron, accessed with a pull of its turned wooden knob. Metal rings can be pulled to extend the supports for the drop leaves. As an occasional table this piece would be ideally suited for smaller groups and would be perfect for a breakfast room. The long, linear legs are tapered and terminate at brass capped feet, equipped with casters. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax to be ready for your interior.
