About the Item

Found in the region of Languedoc in southern France, this artisan made round walnut farm table from the late nineteenth century features a 53 inch diameter top with two drop leaves. The table measures 26 inches wide with both leaves down and each leaf measures 13 inches deep. Resting on a hand pegged walnut base of mortise and tenon joinery with four gently tapered square legs, this table seats six. From floor to apron measures 24 inches, circa 1890.
