About the Item
An exquisite 19th century Italian carved and painted console or center table in the Rococo taste, featuring exuberant scrollwork and finely executed details throughout. The serpentine apron is centered by a raised gilt cartouche of acanthus and shell motifs, flanked by carved floral embellishments and delicate foliate scrolls. The cabriole legs terminate in stylized gilt hoof feet, joined by a gracefully contoured frieze that accentuates the table’s sinuous silhouette.
