About the Item
A rustic Italian pair of carved wood side tables, with trestle legs, from the 19th century. This pair of small antique tables from Italy each feature rectangular-shaped tops that are raised upon a pair of saw-horse style, trestle legs, each carved with vertically positioned stacked rectangular embellishments going down their legs at front and rear, and a wooden support beam braced between them for added support. The wood has a wonderful old patina; a reflection of their history and age. This beautifully rustic pair of 19th century Italian trestle tables would be wonderful end tables for a more warm and casual home environment.

An Italian wood trestle-leg table, with decorative forged-iron stretcher, from the 18th century. This antique table from Italy features a rectangular-shaped top, which is raised upon a pair of nicely-turned, trestle-styled legs (with a pair of turned wood stretchers supporting them at each side) and raised upon low-profile bun feet. The underside of the table is braced by a beautifully hand-forged iron stretcher, reminiscent of a bell or ogee arch shape, and is adorn with several disc and leafy shaped decorative pieces. Not only functional, but this iron stretcher creates visual interest and further embellishment to this piece. The warm fruitwood has a rich, old patina; a reflection of it's history and age.
