About the Item
A refined pair of mid-century French side tables, attributed to Maison Baguès, circa 1950s–1960s. Executed in patinated brass, each table features slender, elegant legs with finely turned detailing, supporting a rectangular top enclosed by a pierced gallery rail.
Both the upper surface and lower tier are fitted with églomisé glass panels, displaying a softly distressed, mirrored finish that adds depth and subtle glamour. The lower shelves provide additional surface area while reinforcing the light, architectural structure of the frames.
The combination of delicate brasswork and verre églomisé reflects the decorative sophistication for which Maison Baguès is renowned, blending neoclassical influence with mid-century elegance.
Versatile in scale and form, these tables work equally well as side tables, bedside tables, or occasional tables.
There are a couple of chips on the glass.
