Maison Lecan presents this popular-art round oak table, c.1880.
A unique, powerful piece embodying 19th-century rural craftsmanship. The circular top, made of thick oak planks, shows a spectacular irregular edge with a dark, time-worn patina. Tool marks and age cracks give it a raw, almost sculptural presence.
The tripod base with triangular stretcher adds stability and underlines its primitive, brutalist charm. Fully restored and finished with a satin varnish, the table retains its original texture and soul.
Perfect as a display table in a modern boutique or concept store, yet equally striking as a distinctive dining table in a characterful interior.
