About the Item

A fine late 18th-early 19th century tavern/work table with strongly turned legs, ball feet, breadboard plank top and bottom H-form stretcher. The table has a long drawer on one end with a ring pull and stylized flower escutcheon. The table has a deep color with a French polish and is quite stabile with a fine, smooth timeworn hand. Condition: Overall condition shows some expected age borne losses, notably to the lower right corner of the facing drawer front as well as on one of the base stretcher corners and feet as well as sporadic nicks, scratches, chips and finish losses. The aforementioned is for accuracy as the piece presents exceptionally well. The tavern table measures 65.25” long by 30.75” deep by 28.5” high. The measurement from floor to apron is 23.75”.
