This refined nineteenth century game table presents a beautifully understated exterior that opens to reveal a richly appointed gaming compartment. The table features clean tapered legs and a warm, well developed patina, characteristic of Northern European work of the period.
Inside, the hinged top lifts to a fitted interior lined with green felt and a traditional backgammon layout in deep red, green, and black. The colours and craftsmanship speak to the quiet elegance of nineteenth century recreational furniture.
The table shows gentle bowing to the top and areas of wear that one would expect from a piece of this age.
